Youʼre Not Hard to Love

Youʼre not too much.

Youʼre not too quiet.

Youʼre not too emotional, or too distant, or too complicated.

Youʼre not hard to love.

I know — maybe youʼve been made to feel that way.

Maybe someone made you believe love has to be earned.

That you have to perform, or prove, or perfect yourself

just to be worthy of softness.

But you donʼt.

Youʼre allowed to feel deeply.

To want closeness.

To have boundaries.

To carry stories youʼre still making sense of.

You donʼt need to shrink to be accepted.

You donʼt need to hide the messy parts.

You donʼt need to become someone easier just to be held.

The right people —

they wonʼt ask you to be less.

Theyʼll meet you where you are.

And remind you:

Love was never something you had to chase.

Itʼs something you get to receive.

As you are.

So if no one told you today —

Youʼre not hard to love.

You never were.
