The little things

Sometimes, life feels like it's speeding past me.
Like I'm supposed to have it all figured out by now.
I just turned 26- and for a minute there, I felt like I was falling behind.
Too many questions.
Too many expectations.
Too many tabs open in my brain.
But when it gets like that, I try to slow down - and go back to the moments that remind me why I love being alive.
The smell of rain.
The first sip of coffee on a quiet morning.
That perfect dessert that makes you close your eyes for a second longer.
A plate of food made with love.
Dancing when no one's watching - or even when they are.
The way skies change color when you're not looking.
The way stars just... show up, no matter what kind of day you had.
Flowers on your birthday - especially when they're from people who know you.
Your friends saying something stupid on the group chat and suddenly, you're laughing so hard, you forget why you were stressed.
And music - always music.
Helping you feel what you're feeling or gently carrying you out of it.
These are the things I hold on to. The small, steady joys.
The real stuff.
It's not always about fixing everything. Sometimes it's just about noticing what's already good. And letting that be enough - for today.
So, if you're feeling overwhelmed too - just look for the little things.
